Travelico > Sharm el-Sheikh > Ras um Sid > El Hadaba
El Hadaba (الهضبة) is actually a neighborhood within the Ras Umm Sid peninsula, in its southern part. It is bounded in its southern part by one of the most beautiful beaches in Sharm el-Sheikh (Al Panar) where there are excellent hotels, restaurants and cafes and spectacular diving and snorkeling sites. Even in the center of the neighborhood – in parts that are not used for living – you can find excellent hotels that compensate for the lack of the adjacent beach with large water parks and plenty of other attractions.
The range of hotels in Al Hadaba is very wide, and in this area you can find both large and expensive resorts (mainly around the Sharm el-Maya bay and the old city) and relatively simple hotels, at the 3-4 star level, which offer accommodation at reasonable prices without too many facilities, and are an excellent solution For those looking for functional accommodation without staying in the hotel for many hours a day.
In the southern part of the neighborhood, near the port, there is a beautiful and very active beach strip, along which there are also luxurious hotels and a variety of activities such as diving, water sports, beach bars and restaurants. These hotels are a short walk from the old market in the old city and this is also a great option for spending an evening (or night).
In the inner part of the neighborhood, the hotels are more functional, without an adjacent private beach and with fewer facilities and attractions. All the hotels have an arrangement with nearby beaches where shuttles leave, and their big advantage is of course the price which is significantly cheaper than the price of the big resorts. This is an excellent option to get to know the neighborhood up close, and also a good solution for those who want cheap accommodation in a place that provides excellent value for money.

In addition to hotels, El Hadaba also has shopping centers, commercial streets, bars and cafes and within a short drive you can reach the old city and the old market, a commercial and fun entertainment area with a variety of restaurants, shops and attractions.
The “Dahab Center” shopping center is right at the entrance to the Al Hadaba residential neighborhood, next to the Aqua Blue Hotel. In Dahab Center you will find a similar mix of shops to other shopping centers, but also various cafes and restaurants with a pleasant frontage to the street. Here too, you should come in the evening and at night when the place is fuller and all the businesses are active.
In the south of the neighborhood is “Parsha Cafe” – the most famous cafe in Sharm, which calls itself a “tea house”. A beautiful place with an international atmosphere (you will hear many languages around you there) and several levels and seating options – chairs, poufs, pillows, a bridge on the intermediate level for those who prefer to see the sunset from above and also mattresses on the beach itself. It is advisable to arrive before sunset, then the place becomes even more illuminated and pleasant, with good music in the background. The menu is limited and mainly includes drinks (including alcohol) and light snacks.
Another place is “Santorini Cafe-Restaurant” – a Greek-style cafe and restaurant, from the bright blue-white design to the menu that includes familiar dishes from Greek cuisine, various aperitifs and quality alcohol. Don’t expect gourmet dishes, but for a twilight snack the place is definitely enough. It is recommended to sit on the balcony facing the sea to catch, of course, the sunset opposite.
If you are already there, then don’t miss a visit to the perfect stretch of beach of “El Fanar” beach to see the sunset. It is right below Parsha Cafe and Restaurant Santorini, and on its beach there are usually chairs and sunbeds and a stunning colorful reef where you can see plenty of colorful corals. A pier is installed at both ends of the beach strip through which you can directly enter the reef. Part of the strip belongs to the hotels above it, but it can also be reached freely.
Even if you are not staying at the Albatros Hotel, it is still worth visiting the huge water park “Aqua Park” especially if you are coming on vacation with the children. A whole day of fun with a huge selection of slides and facilities, lots of shady corners to sit and a fun atmosphere. Because of the size of the park, even when it is full of people there is no feeling of crowding. Admission includes lunch.
