Hotels in Ras Umm Sid
The peninsula that “closes” Sharm to the south is called Ras Um Sid (رأس أم سيد), and this is an area that holds one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in all of Sinai. This peninsula starts south of Naama Bay, makes a turn and ends in Sharm Al-Maya Bay, near the port of Sharm. The beach strip of this peninsula is very long, but it is not continuous and mostly belongs to the hotels that are built along it. In the southern parts there are several beaches that are open to the public.
The Ras Umm Sid area is full of different and interesting attractions, so those who stay there will be able to visit them all relatively easily and without long journeys. The old market (Old Sharm), the huge Il Mercato shopping center, Sharm Al-Maya Bay and its marine attractions, water parks, cafes, restaurants and more.
In the southern part of the peninsula is El Hadaba (الحدبة) – a mostly residential neighborhood, but one that has developed over the years in various tourist centers, hotels, shopping and commercial centers have been built. The beautiful southern beach (Al Panar) is the one that borders Al Hadaba to the south and completes a fantastic setting to watch the sunset on a clear day, go sailing in the middle of the sea or jump to it with binoculars and a snorkel to see what’s going on inside.

In most cases, these are large hotels with a variety of accommodation options, from standard rooms to suites. This is an excellent area for diving, so the hotels in the vicinity will offer you a variety of options for sailing and diving in the nearby sites, some of them operate a diving club right in the hotel itself.

The hotels that are not along the beach are also divided into two – luxury hotels with huge water parks that are mainly intended to accommodate families with children and offer them all the facilities and attractions that you can think of, alongside smaller hotels, at the 3 or 4 star level that offer standard and relatively simple accommodation, where you will receive Bed and breakfast at an affordable price and less attractions around.
