Hotels in Sharks Bay
Sharks Bay is an amazingly beautiful stretch of beach in the northern part of Sharm, very close to the city’s airport. In fact, it is a kind of holiday village, which focuses mainly on diving, water sports and sailing activities, and along the stretch of beach are located some of the most well-known quality hotels in Sharm. Despite its name, you probably won’t find real sharks in Shark Bay, and the name of the place was given to it in the past, before the development of the place for tourism purposes, so you could really see sharks there. Since the sharks prefer the open sea, they no longer frequent the bay, but the name remains.
The place of the sharks has been taken by amazingly beautiful diving sites that contain many species of tropical fish, sea dwellers, colorful and spectacular coral reefs and even one shipwreck (half of which is still visible outside the water). All of these are a center of attraction for many divers who come to the place to see all this beauty up close, and even those who prefer to snorkel from above definitely have something to see.
The pearl of the area is the island of Tiran – an island under the control of Saudi Arabia, but there is no problem visiting the diving sites around it, which are among the most beautiful on Red Day. The area is very well preserved even though the Straits of Tiran are a passage of marine activity to the Gulf of Aqaba area, and the reefs there look great.
Beyond the beach strip, in Shark Bay is also the famous “Soho” complex – an entertainment and shopping area that offers a variety of restaurants, bars, brand stores (fake of course), clubs, children’s attractions and various performances every evening. Most of the restaurants in the area have an arrangement with the nearby hotels so that you can eat there and charge the hotel room, and pay only at check-out.

The Shark Bay area is characterized by mostly luxurious hotels, resorts that fit the definition of the area as a holiday village, some of them offer everything without you having to leave them at all (although it is always recommended from time to time). Some of the hotels in Shark Bay belong to well-known chains such as “Hilton”, “The Four Seasons” and “Savoy”, so you know for sure what the standards are and what you are getting even before you arrive. Accommodation in the hotels in Shark Bay is especially suitable for those who come to dive or for other marine activities, and almost every hotel has its own diving club or works with an adjacent one through which any activity can be easily organized.
Hotels in the north of Sharks Bay
The hotels in the north of the Shark Bay, in the part closer to Nek, are characterized by large spaces and almost complete privacy. Each hotel has a completely private huge strip of beach and the diving sites near them are the most beautiful. These are the hotels that are a little further from Soho Square and you have to take a taxi or the shuttles that leave from the hotels to get there.
Hotels in the south of Sharks Bay
In this area, adjacent to the Soho promenade, we will find the hotels from the major chains sitting on the most beautiful stretch of beach which is also more developed. In this area, the entire area of the beach strip belongs to the hotels and it is not possible to get to the beach area without staying in one of them. Along the strip you will find many beach restaurants and bars, which are fun to sit in both during the day and at night.
