Naama Bay, is the central area of Sharm el-Sheikh, the “downtown” if you will. Along its beautiful stretch of beach, there are several excellent hotels of a high standard, connected together by a pleasant promenade that runs between the hotels and the beach strip. Along the boardwalk, there are private hotel beaches with restaurants and bars where you can sit even if you are not a hotel guest. Beyond them, there are also a number of beach bars and restaurants that do not belong to any hotel and some of them also have their own piece of beach that is very pleasant to sit on with a glass of beer in front of the sea.
Behind the boardwalk is the Naama Bay complex which is a huge pedestrian street with lots of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, travel agencies, and shopping centers. The place is lively and buzzing with life especially in the evenings, after sunset, when it is lit up with colorful lights and wandering through it is an experience in itself. There you will find many local shops for oils, spices, souvenirs, and clothes. Jewelry and more, alongside well-known international chains such as Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, and Hard Rock Cafe. A very fun place to hang out and enjoy good food and a surprising urban experience in Chinese terms.
